Brand Identity for a Web Ssite

Development of brand identity for a web site can consist of both your logo and the graphic design of your site. In todays marketing world, a brand is something visual that helps you identify with a product. There is a reason that branding with a visual aid is a powerful marketing tool, do you know why?

Clinicial studies in psychology show that nearly 75% of our daily experiences are visual, sight is the most used human sense. When people see a picture of puppies they tend to remember or interpretate the photo associated with feelings, perhaps a warm fuzzy feeling. Our ability to remember detail is limited however a picture associated with a feeling has far greater retention. Ask yourself how much effect your emotions have in your decisions to purchase something that will make you feel good about yourself.

Studies show that when giving live presentations people retain the most information when accompanied by visual aids. From experience they found that approximately 10% of the information was retained from a verbal only presentation compared to 50% retention when you combining verbal and associated visuals. Using pictures not only accomplishes getting your message to your visitors, it can help them remember you and your product/service. When effectively using pictures, you can cut down on the amount of text needed to present the same information with greater success.
